With all of this freezing cold weather, don't forget to bring your pets inside. If you can't bring them in then provide adequate shelter with straw in it to help keep them warm. If you know people who can't afford these things for their pets many local rescues are trying to help by loaning out dog houses and straw for outside or some inside kennels until the weather breaks. I know Shirleys Angels boxer rescue in Winchester VA Is offering assistance in western VA and some parts of WEst Va. I believe boxer butts and other mutts near Asheville NC is trying to help also. in Kentucky, the humane society is offering free boarding to outside dogs until jan 9. must be current on bordetella and rabies.
