I do the same thing. I prefer the consistency of pumping my own out of my own tank at all times. One less thing to connect/disconnect at the destination.


Side benefit (for my rig) is that I know when the fresh water tank is nearing empty, the gray waste tank is nearing full. Handy because the gray water tank gauge is notoriously inaccurate but the fresh water tank gauge is spot on.
