Our first camping trip with our Axis was a very chilly weekend in April (in Michigan,

As far as warm: Yes the large front window does radiate heat a bit (and gives you a fishbowl affect as well with people walking by). We purchased a screen to cover the front to minimize the heat (and peering eyes). Look in this thread for details on the cover:
