The Acme EZE Car Dolly System needs the steering wheel to not be locked up while towing and our Flex's steering wheel does not lock up when turned off. It gives us an option of taking the flex or not.

Check your owner's manual. For 2014 they should have a Neutral Tow option and that would allow you to select that option, keep the trans in Park, take the key out and tow away. That was the same as my 2014 Lincoln MKZ. Not trying to change you mind, but rather provide insight on the vehicles options/features.

As it turns out, this is the first time in over 50 years where I haven't had a Ford parked in the driveway or garage. Freightliner motorhome and Jeep Grand Cherokee TOAD.
