Having owned rigs with both the 5 and 6 speed I can confidently say the 6 speed is a MUCH better match to the needs of a MH! You need to remember that any motor home is big, heavy and about as aerodynamic as the side of a barn. It takes a lot of power to move it at highway speeds. It also accounts for the generally dismal gas mileage.
