In the motorcycle world we use a can of seafoam in the gas tank (found in most auto parts stores). Run the generator long enough to get the mix up into the generator carb and let it sit over night. From experience, I would say two full cans in half a tank of gas in the RV. Seafoam had saved a lot of folks from carb rebuilding on their bikes. Best wishes
