Yes, if you can fit 6 V that is great. Otherwise the biggest 12 V you can fit. Also consider cost. It also depends on if you are always hooked up to power or you are dry camping.

Lithium batteries are very expensive and also may require a new battery charger. Like 6 V they tend to be taller and may not fit.
