THOR #11618
Exclamation Rust

My wife and I bought our latest hurricane while we were in Fort Benning GA. He upgraded from a C class to an A class Hurricane 34P. We were just about to move to Fort Bliss and I was loading it up with all of our gear and I was running the Generator for about 3 hours. Later
In the day I tried to start it up
Again it was a no go. No click, turn over, nothing. I slid up under the coach to see what had happened and the ground wire was completely corroded and had come off. Upon further inspection I found LOTS of rust. I was quite disturbed and disappointed because the coach was a brand new 2018. I called to let them know what I found only for camping world to wash their hands of it. I treated the most worrisome part where the frame was extended and left completely unpainted. This was how we toad a car and I was fearful that if left untreated it could fail and bye bye car. I contacted Thor only to be told “we don’t cover Rust!” And that was the end as far as they are concerned. I tried working with camping world here in Anthony TX and they hit road blocks with Thor also. By and large this wasn’t a camping world issue due to the painting that was done but not completed. It was haphazard at best. It is clearly visible that some spots were painted and others just left. The Ford chassis was perfect front to back but everywhere Thor bolted or welded on there is rust. That means it was picked up or delivered to camping world like this. Thor is notorious for bad quality control and this was at its worse as far as I’m concerned. I’ve made as many repairs on my own as I can for this but as for now I will never purchase from Thor again.
We have been in the desert for the last two years so rust wasn’t going to continue while here. Now we are heading to Fort Lewis in the great northwest so I have to completely cover all this rust I can find. I’ve been using Rustoleum rust converter and I can attest to is effectiveness. Moral of the story always look underneath before making your purchase.
