More than likely RV components are becoming the thing for thieves since cars have gotten more sophisticated in their anti-theft systems and RV haven't kept pace.

If you Google around, it seems like every time more than one person steals more than one RV all of a sudden it's part of a 'theft ring'. Makes for good
PR and headlines, but I'm skeptical of the attraction to large criminal enterprises...
