The way I see it, those extended warranties are for people that got plenty of money and/or view extended warranties as a piece of mind
If you are one that wishes to assess the merits of each repair as to value of the extended warranty or not,
I would NOT recommend buying ANY extended warranty. If I was really worried that I needed a so called after market extended warranty, I would not buy the product.
You ever buy Insurance while at the casino, i.e. blackjack? You can have people all day long tell you why they glad they had insurance, or wish they had saved their money, but at the end of the day, it is sucker bet. I guarantee with 100% certainty that more people lose out on buying after market extended warranty than those that view as favorable. If more did not lose; the aftermarket extended warranty companies would not make any money and go out of business.
A standard mfg warranty is a completely different animal i.e. mfg (Ford, Winnebago, Thor is offering to extend the true mfg warranty). In my view the term "after market extended warranty" is fraudulent by definition; but I digress out of fear of going
