Exclamation Holes in Floor Caused by Slideout

About two years after purchase of our Thor Hurricane 34J (which we love and have had very few problems with), we noticed some pretty serious marks on the floor. One was near the dinette. The other near the bunk beds. Both got worse. Soon, a small hole about the size of a hole in a belt loop. Thor advised that it's where something under the slide out rests on the floor when it's not extended and the vibration of over two years of driving has caused it to eat a small hole in the floor. They also said it was adjustable to take some of the pressure of that spot.

I took the coach to Camping World and they adjusted it. They did not, however, repair the hole. To do so, would have costs several hundred dollars and entailed cutting out a section and trying to match a replacement section.

There must be better solution. Does anyone have any ideas and experience with this? Dave Merritt, Chester, VA.
