First, to the OP, thanks for the post. Normally forums only contain the negative and rarely list the positive.

The real question is why do people continue to buy from dealers that do not have or maintain adequate service departments and do not value after sale service? Why are these dealers still profitable and allowed to operate in a free market society.

More often than not when someone buys and RV they are looking at the price and not even considering the service department's capabilities or reputation in their decision. Then when the dealership doesn't lift a finger to properly prep a unit for delivery the buyers start complaining.

I am taking my rig back to Jayco, however, it is not because the dealership does not duo quality work it is because after Jayco (Thor owned) raises my slide the side of the coach has to be repainted so the graphics align (4 colors). I requested the painting be done by the shop that originally painted the coach. Since my coach is a 2020 the paint shop is still using the pattern and colors for the model year. At the present my dealership does not have a body shop so they would have to contract out the painting and my decision, after discussions with Entegra, Jayco and the dealer, is to take the coach to Middlebury for a 2 week appointment. We are taking the rig there at our expense, however, the price reduction due to the slide being out of adjustment is enough to pay for fuel and lodging for about 5 trips to Middlebury. We know about the slide adjustment issue before we signed the purchase agreement for the coach.

Bottom line, there are a bunch of folks that get quality service on their Thor products without going to Wakarusa. Thor sells ten of thousands of units per year and only a handful get complained about on the forums. Thor has quite a few repeat customers so they must be doing something right.
