Pilot light

I think I've got this figured out but want to confirm with you experts.

When I'm required to turn off pilot light that just means:

1. Turn off refrigerator
2. Turn off water heater

Right?

Then just close lp tank.

To turn back on after refueling, etc, open lp tank and when I turn frig back on it automatically lights pilot in frig.

Thanks for feedback
