I grew up as did all the kids in that era drinking out of garden hoses

Have you smelled the water coming out of new hoses lately?

Hose manufacturers assume that we no longer drink from them unless the are NSF approved

Water unfortunately in many places is not the same quality

If you're immune system is compromised or one of you is extremely sensitive then then you need to pay attention to what is in your water

I use my RO to fill the tank when the water hardness is extremely high or if iron and sulphur are present

Smell and avoiding scale in the Aquahot are the primary reasons

Peroxide takes care of the MB concerns if city water is unavailable

Nitrate levels are elevated in thousands of water sources as are hydrocarbons

Lead and chromium you have all heard of

Chlorine compounds are a common problem

Water isn't water anymore but remember no one is monitoring your bottled water like municipal is

Like anything dont just assume that the tap is going to contain safe drinking water, know what you are doing
