I am sorry the service center you are at is having trouble working with the GoodSam extended coverage. I had generator issues for two season with the 4K Onan it would shut off when it got hot. I suspected the oil level issue, but after months of oil changes and other troubleshooting we couldn't resolve it. I had heard Cummins service was not going be to an inexpensive option, but they are the best at what they do so I gave them a try.

I scheduled the initial appointment with Cummins in Pittsburgh, PA and told them I had GoodSam coverage they indicated sometimes the GoodSam coverage amounts don't cover all the labor sometimes depending what the problem is, but they would see what they could do. They ended up having to drop the generator from the motorhome after they weren't able to figure out what the problem was. Ended up being a faulty coil in the end. Initially they estimarted I would be out of pocket 380ish. More than the deductible, but still better than the whole bill. He said we would work on it and it should be less when I pick it up. Ultimately he was able to get my out of pocket cost down to 180. The work they did was great and the generator has been running awesome. They got payment from GoodSam before I left with the unit. I hope it all works out for you.
