I also can't help you on the recliners. Not sure or understand locking in the up position
Didn't know the new models had them to replace the uncomfortable sleeper sofa
Hope you get it resolved. Maybe post a pic. It might help to solve the problem
On another note I'm jealous that you live in Big Bear. I love it up there and would love to buy a weekend cabin but the wife hates the mountain drive
