If you’re buying from a dealer ask them to show you the manual procedure and try it before you buy it. It really isn’t difficult though you do need a ladder. And a slide lock to hold it “in” once it’s retracted with the motors disconnected. The slide lock can be as simple as a piece of scrap 2x4 if you take the time to measure and cut it before you need it. Many people never experience a slide failure but most everyone worries about it and you’ll avoid a lot of stress if you’re confident that you can deal with it. Good luck.
