I haven't done this for the current coach but I did it for my prior class c. I drilled a 1 inch hole in the board to serve as a finger hole for placement at night and removal in the morning. Took less than 15 seconds each time and served us well. Rather than installing brackets I used strips of wood screwed onto 3 sides of the bottom to keep the base from sliding when positioned. I used 3/4 inch plywood for the platform/base.
