They say"to each their own"... When we started looking we settled on a 2016 Thor 24.1 Axis with 11,000 miles on it. Price negotiated was about $45,000 less than MSRP.
The reason that we chose and shopped for this model was: the windshield design was modified (there were stress cracks) from the pre-2016 models and they had worked out some of the gremlins. We did not like the newer model years after 2016 for the same reasons some like them... I didn't like the microwave down below the counter and I didn't like the tankless water heater. Many like those features.
I shopped for this exact model on RVTRADER.COM and found five good choices.
We've had ours for a year and a half. The windshield wiper mechanism gave me grief until I figured out why and fixed it. I don't like the bathroom sink. I've been working on figuring out the antenna and cabling system and put up with the radios. I installed an inline Surge Protector to protect the sensitive electronics.
All in all we love the rig. It's just right for us.
