The walls of your coach are heat bonded aluminum, balsa wood, steel panel, insulation with a fiberglass out and inner sandwich. If moisture were to get inside the sandwich, de-lamination bubbles will form. The plastic (PVC) rails you see are the sealing cap for the side wall. Be very careful if you pierce them for any reason and seal the holes with something like Dicor.
