I'm a Moderator on a snowmobile website. It is specific to one manufacturer (Ski-Doo) and it is broken out into individual model groups as well as other topics of interest.
While I tend to read the "New Posts" many people (including myself) do find it useful to be able to post and read in the sections that are specific to their model. There are 17 model specific sub-forums to cover their various Ski-Doo model variations over the years.
The challenge for the Mods may be that if you look at Thor Motorcoach as one manufacturer, there are about 31 models. If you look at Thor Industries, they have a total of 17 manufacturing brands with a host of models under each brand so it may be an administrative nightmare to manage.
That being said...... I could see the site setup something like this.....
Thor Motorcoach
- Class A Diesel Motorhomes
- Class A Motorhomes
- Class B Motorhomes
- Class C Motorhomes
- Super C Motorhomes
- Toy Haulers
- RUV's
Then at least people could read and search in sub-forums that are focused on their type of RV.
