You really really need to seek out a professional.

I could build/rebuild turkey fryers into rockets or into transmissions here with just the equipment and knowledge I have at the shop right now with no further research or questions.
But
I hired out my gear change because set up is a professional thing.
Torque wrenches, shims, gear bevelers, backlash measurement tools, angle finders, the nuances....

You're asking the most elementary questions about the most complicated setup on almost any vehicle. Unless by rebuilding you mean changing only the gasket on the cover, stop now and take nothing else loose.

What have you done to it so far?
How do you know it's the differential that's bad or if it's bad?

I can try to bail you out enough to get it to a shop.
A picture of the cover you removed will tell us exactly what you have with just our slight glance.
