The awning extended and retracted without an issue.
Since I wrapped the tape, and was careful to apply straight, the outcome was pleasing to the eye and pocket book.

Did you do this from the roof? If so, how far were you able to extend your reach? Did you only partially cover the awning or the whole thing?
