There are several real good threads where the Bird and other bidirectional relay systems are explained

If you're dealing with a dead chassis battery you need to hold the E switch a minimum of on minute prior to trying to start, and continue to hold it while cranking

Prior to needing to use the emergency start feature make sure it is connected properly and the solenoid is good

On most of the Coaches the 100 amp breaker supplies power to the jacks and gen start

As noted, start the Generator first and charge the battery banks
