It’s all storage in the drop-down bed:
- the table & two posts (2017 & later do not have table/post storage behind the sofa)
- shoes & clothes
- swimming/beach gear, extra towels/blankets
- finally, you can hide your cash (or weed) in the locked drop-down bunk
On our 2014 the lip on the drop down isn't tall enough for the table & posts--besides we have the storage behind the couch.

Our drop down hasn't moved since the last trip our son went with us (summer 2019). I should drop it down and up to see if it still works!

I think if I used it for storage the next owner's of the RV would find a surprise: "what is all this stuff up here? ah the previous owners must have used it for storage and completely forgot!"
