There's a couple reasons for the converter to run constantly;
You're running several 12 volt items particularly the furnace fan draws lots of juice.
Your batteries are on their last leg & the converter is working overtime to keep them maintained. How old are the batteries? If near 5 years its probably time for replacements. Have them load tested at an auto parts store.
Or as you say possibly the converter. On a 12-13 year old rv that's a very good possibility. Could be the cooling fan is covered in dust so running louder.
