UNHAPPY WITH THOR ALSO. My water heater failed in the first year of ownership. The repair station told me to submit the claim with Thor and it took me 6 months and many phone calls, resending my documents to get paid back. Buy the Good Sam Extended Warranty. I have a 2015 Thor Chateau 31W. We have owned the camper for 5 years- something somewhere is leaking- water gets on the floor from under the kitchen sink after it rains. 5he full wall slide has been tracking badly and binds up for 3 years ( had it serviced twice ), now the Schwintech slide system is being replaced at a cost of $4500 at Camping World. The leveling system has failed - the “AUTO LEVELING” system has power, but shows Low Battery with 13.6 volts in the batteries. A $356 computer module.
The Residential Fridge is a bad choice unless you are camping where you have Electric Every night. I have changed the Inverter to a “Full Sine Wave Inverter”, added more batteries because the Fridge would drain the batteries in 4 hours and it makes a loud clunking noise whe the compressor starts. Camping World said it was the “Modified Sine Wave Inverter” and not enough Battery AMPs. Carl @ 303-884-5884
