Oil Change Interval

I retired from Cummins with 30 years.
Did a lot of experimentation at the Technical Center in Columbus on oil life for warranty claims.
On my personal 5.9 and 6.7 engines I use FULL SYNTHETIC and change every 15,000 miles. If I had to choose, I would change the filter before I would worry about the oil.
We developed a machine that would remove impurities from the oil (similar to dialysis). The oil would last 100,000 miles without breaking down. It is the impurities, especially sulfur that are hard on bearing surfaces.
These impurities are what necessitates oil change frequency. At 3250 miles imho, please save your $ for other maintenance.
