I have a 50 amp top of the line Surge Guard. Over the last 4 years it has saved my motor home twice from surges caused by lightening. Saved me several thousand dollars should I not have it. Was also protected at a campground when a ground hog ate through the buried neutral line, again saved me $$$$. Those without it cost them a great deal and time lost till repairs could be obtained
