If I knew bad storms were coming, I would not only disconnect the shore power and go to AGS, but prepare everything else to be ready to roll. Unless you needed the ACs you should be able to go at least 12 hours or so off the batteries as in boondocking. But no way I am plugged in during a known electrical storm at a campground despite all of my protective devices.
I mean you talking to a guy that has one umbrellas somewhere, but I don't want be in the rain with it as it may get wet
