I have two bikes that I would love to put on this with a total weight of about 950#.

Two issues that I can see are that the carrier calls for a dual hitch set up so I would have to have two hitch receivers welded to the existing hitch frame.

Second would be the weight on the rear of the coach and that the suspension would need to be modified,

Both of these issues aren't deal breakers. Any experience with using a NON TRAILER option to haul two motorcycles are welcome.
There is a Tee bar adapter that uses the standard 2" hitch with braces to the hitch. That Tee bar has two 1.7/8" balls 30 inches apart. I put 120,00 miles on a Smart Trailer (one wheel trailer SL100). You will have to change the 5.70x8 tires every 4,000 miles or so. Big problem is caster shimmy 60 mph. Make sure the manufacturer has a way to dampen the shimmy. <https://smarttrailers.com/default.aspx>
