WOW!! I was not aware that manufactures onboard GPS was Garmin. They might pay them for the rights to use it. But any updates had to be done at the dealer and it was a couple hundred dollars to do each update. I hope this works out for you.
My Mazda 3 has an SD card with the maps. I could update for one year at NC but after that it was a fee to update, even though I could do it myself. Oh and to have the gps was a $400 option. Fricken crooks.
