Wish I'd read this thread a month ago....
Genny (4K Onan) would not start for a routine exercise prior to going in for winterizing last week. "Thought" it might be a critter chewed wire, as I was having starting issues with vehicle parked right beside it.

Lo and behold, just got estimate for $1k to replace carb on the generator.
