It is pretty sad that this even happens. In my area, it is wire, copper or aluminum. Burn off the insulation and sell the rest.


My research suggests the scrap value is $100+/-. With an RV, where ground clearance is not a problem, I think an experienced thief with a sharp blade could have it off in under a minute. On my lot they got 6 when they took mine. I guess if you can show up at the recycler with a truck full it’s “worth it”. It’s a vile way to make a living.
