I’m not familiar with either radio so probably not much help. I recently replaced my radio with a Kenwood and it was pretty straightforward. My unit did not have a nifty multi pin connector. Each wire was individually connected. But each was clearly marked and I’d bet you could handle it. Still, there is something to be said for letting the pros do it! My contribution to the discussion would be to select a new radio that permits remote driver control. My eyes aren’t what they used to be and my radio placement is such that making any adjustment to the radio required bending over and taking my eyes well and truly off the road. I recently added controls that I can reach while driving and it has become my new favorite mod!
