3 way fridge

Our Compass came with a Norcold N510.3 3 way fridge. So not exactly the same as your fridge.
I don't have a thermometer inside - so don't know how much (if any) the temperature rises on 12 V. But we run ours on auto with the setting to 4 or 5 and if it's really hot outside I will increase it to 6 or 7. I usually turn the propane off at the tank while driving. I know it's probably not necessary - but that's the way I was taught and I keep doing it.
Our fridge stays cold - even after a 8 to 10 hour day of driving. Nothing melts in the freezer. Beer's cold. Ice cubes still frozen. We've had no problem.
With that said, I always use either 120 or propane to bring the fridge to temperature. And it's always either plugged in or on propane every night.
