I purchases a 6 ton bottle jack from sears, about 50$, made in china. it works very well for me. I have 2 - 6 ton stands, very well for me. I jack my rear at the axel, and the front at the crossbars. when I put it all up, I place wooden blocks under rear axel and the two jack stands under front crossbar. I put it all up when I have stationary plans over 3 weeks. why? I feel it does the tires well. I have no supporting evidence that this does any good, other than in my experience from long ago, tires develop flat spots and fatigue from sitting with large weight for extended periods of time. ya, I know todays technology and yadda yadda, but I still feel happier when its up, and it gives me practice getting it up. 30 minutes and I am all smiles (Wink Wink).
