We've had a hand held Dirt Devil for about 20 yrs. Still does great! It also blows up Air Mattresses quick. We also have a cordless Dyson that converts to a hand held, with attachments. I think Shark makes a powerful one also.
We travel with three German Shepherds, AKA German Shedders, so a good vacuum is a must!
