Back in the old days, I had a 1984 GMC that had a cracked fitting on a trans cooler line. It didn't drip unless the engine was running. The trans would shudder when going into overdrive when the fluid was down 1 quart. I drove it from South Carolina to Texas, towing a VW bug and only lost 1/2 quart. The point to my story is you should be okay until the line comes in. Just monitor the fluid level and trans temp.
