Indiana collects 7% because the sale takes place there. They don’t care that I’m out of state. It shows in the invoice. California only wants the difference over the 7%. So california will get .75% on the sale. If I were to keep it outside california for a year then they want nothing. If that were the case I’d purchase from a state without sales tax and save all tax if not brought into california for a year.

I pick this unit up Feb 16, 2021.
