Florida is our 2nd Home. LOVE IT! HA
we did couples weeks in December and stayed Tampa and The Villages.
Had to come back home NC and do business taxes and we heading back next month! Sure beats freezing up north!

We left Boston on December 16, the night of a big snowstorm heading south to see Mom in Orlando in time for Christmas. We follow Covid "best practices" so we wear masks and have stayed, and have continued to stay exclusively in our RV even while at Mom's.
Left Orlando on January 2nd heading south down the east coast. A Boondocker's Welcome site, SebastianSP, a county park and a Cracker Barrel or two as we headed to Everglades NP.
We managed to snag a total of 5 nights in Everglades at two different campgrounds (Long Pine and Flamingo). Very Cool, lots of birds and alligators.
We spent a night in the tent next to the RV in Everglades just so we can say that we "camped out."
Next, a night at Michell Landing (primitive site) in Big Cypress and a night at Collier Seminole SP.
Got a night at Koreshan SP and currently typing this from WP Franklin COE site on the Caloosahatchee River. (Our first COE campsite. Very nice!)
Of note, nothing except our stay in Orlando was planned in advance! I'm on the phone daily checking for last minute cancellations at parks etc along our route, grabbing whatever comes available.
We are spending the day in and around Ft. Myers and Cape Coral and have Boondockers Welcome tonight and tomorrow.
There are more Harvest Hosts as we head up the west coast of FL so we will take advantage of that as well as State Parks as openings occur.
We are having fun, lots of biking, hiking and running. A dip in the Ocean here and there and oh...
A great must see in Ft. Myers is the Edison/Ford Winter Estate.
We're having a great time, enjoying the 70 degree weather!

Trying to upload some photos but I believe that forum does not allow HEIC file types from iPhone. Will try again later.
