Excellent advice, that I won't be able to follow. I'm a working stiff with wife and kids so spending that much vacation time on a non-vacation, and away from my family, just isn't going to happen. Also unfortunately, it's winter! (And turning out to be a pretty cold one here in OH.) I'll test what I can, but some things probably just won't be possible, like AC, and most of the plumbing. Shouldn't have any problem testing the furnace though!

That said, I've never had a dealership repair anything on any of my past TTs. I've done all of my own work (including replacing an axle - but I wouldn't do that one myself again!). I'd really only need them to fix something truly major like the slide, generator, AC or something along those lines, so I'm not all that worried about it. The AC is likely to be the only thing I won't be able to test that I wouldn't be able to repair myself.

The usual roof-sealing that I always do (climbing up on the roof and squirting Dicor anywhere that doesn't look like it has enough - usually go through 2-3 tubes of the stuff putting extra on all of the edge seams and around the other penetrations) will have to wait until Spring, but fortunately I have covered storage for it so that shouldn't be a big deal either.

Totally irrelevant, but still pretty neat: Looked up the VIN and the chassis (Chevy 4500) was made at the Springfield Navistar plant, about 10 miles away from me.
