My wife and I received the first Pfizer injection this past Tuesday at SUNY Binghamton, NY. It is a tent in the parking lot. The exterior of the tent was being run by Army Reserve. We had zero wait. We were about 30 minutes early for our appointment. We walked through the tent stopping at different tables with people logging our data. We did need to show our drivers license, insurance card and our verification of co-morbidity from our primary care doctor. I think we spoke to three people with a forth verifying if this is our first or second dose to direct us to which area of the injection room to head to. The area where the vaccine is being stored was guarded. There were doctors and nurses along with a bunch of admin types standing on the sidelines watching the process along with a bunch of Medics. I guess they were there just in case someone had a reaction. At the table with the nurse that actually gave us the injections we received our appointment for the second does and our vaccination card. The nurse said to hang onto the card it as it will likely become necessary for travel and will be needed for verification at the second injection. She also mentioned that studies on transmission by me have not yet been completed so they recommend we still wear a mask. After the injection deep into the deltoid muscle we were escorted to a waiting room where we sat for 15 minutes. If we had any reaction we were to report to them, if not, we can be on our way. I would guess from the time we pulled onto the property to the time we left the property was about 30-35 minutes, with 15 of that in the waiting room.

There was clearly a sense of calm inside the tent. Everyone was refreshingly friendly.

Nicely executed.

The day after our arms were a bit sore. It was tough to life my arm laterally. No big deal. This is as they described to us. If was gone in un der 48 hours. They mentioned the second does may cause us to have flu like symptoms for a few days, particularly chills.
