For what it’s worth, chassis manufacturers like Ford continue to increase the GVWR capabilities of their Single Rear Wheel models.
The 2X4 F-350 GVWR is up to 11,500 pounds. The 4X4 F-350 GVWR goes all the way to 12,400 pounds. That’s why we now see more SRW pickups towing heavier trailers or carrying larger slide-in campers than in the past.
