Now you have some reference marks. If the car is visible and behind the mark you are clear. Note that you may have to make a mark for each mirror. Also note that if you change the mirror positions then the marks aren't valid anymore. May also not work if there are multiple drivers of varying heights.

I've seen that procedure in a RV 101 video. You can also do the same thing to the front window to mark where the right wheels are (if the curb is to the right of your grease mark then you won't run over it LOL).
