I ran into less than 87 octane in New Mexico and used it with no problem. I wouldn't want to run it on a regular basis but a tank here or there probably wont hurt. That dealer needs to read the documentation associated with product he is selling. He is also one of the reasons people trust lawyers and politicians more than salesmen.
