Compartment Door Locks

First thing we upgraded was the standard compartment door locks, which has a standard key to open on most every RV. We went with tubular cam locks (no flat key slot-key is round barrel shape) and dust covers from Industrial Lock and Hardware at shoprvlocks.com We put these on our travel trailer years ago after someone used a screw driver in the key slot to twist open our storage compartments-not smart enough to have a universal CH751 key. Luckily they didn’t take anything (no tools, no generator, no battery in ours in storage), but the locks had to be replaced. We highly recommend the dust covers and have all compartments keyed alike. If you need finger pulls-the ones on your current doors may not work well with these cam locks, so you may want to order one per door also.
