As time goes on and miles build up the dpf (diesel particulate filter) will require regeneration more often.Because with each cycle there is always some soot that does not burn off and is left in filter.eventually filter must be replaced.very costly.there is a company that will cut open the filter and clean it and then weld it back together. much cheaper than replacement. many trucking companies do this to save money.
