Common mistake: Check that it has not retracted in the "opposite position". Example...if you extend the awning and, once it has fully extended, continue to hold the switch...it will roll up over it self and retract. Sounds crazy but I and a few others have done this. I just hit the wrong button to retract and didn't realize it. The motor doesn't stop at the fully retracted position. Try pushing the retract button and see if it extends.
