LtKeefer makes a fine point and probably correct. But I choose to cover mine whenever it’s in storage and not being used for longer than a week or two because it’s a cheap, easy, logical precaution. Not unlike changing oil every 5,000 miles even when the book says 7500. Tires lead a hard life - especially RV tires - and if something easy will reduce the stress on them I’m all for it. And I plan to replace them at 5 years too.
